Do you know where I can find bear411's terms of service?
No I don't. Even with still having an active profile I cannot find it. Not even in any of the emails they sent me from the webmaster. Isn't it somehow illegal not to have a TOS? Closest thing to it I could find is an "e-support" link when I sign in.
I assume it's illegal not to have a TOS, which would be hilarious if he tries to pursue legal action against, say, bear411sucks.com.
Not that they'd have grounds for defamation - everything that site says is pretty much true.
I specifically was told that I wasn't bear enough to join bear411 with a nasty reject letter from the guy that runs the site. It's his site and he can do what he wants but it was still pretty jerkfaced of him.
Day-um honey, that's harsh. I am really sorry that hapened. That does sound REALLY jerkfaced. I'm just confused, how is it that I am bear enough but you aren't??? Not a great way to run a wwebsite.
I wouldn't go back to it. I was incensed at first but then I just thought it was funny.
Our site does allow nudity but not on the MAIN pic. We based that policy on the survey results we got when we designed the site.
As far at us not being able to publish any pics with "sex, sexual situations, or pics with you touching your dick". I am the first to agree with you. Unfortunately we are a US company governed by US laws and last year US Congress passed stricter laws. As much as I would like to do what your asking I am required to "keep it clean". Fell free to contact me if you need any help or further info on BearCiti.com We welcome all suggestions and ideas to make our site better. David Senior Site Admin BearCiti.com

Hey there,
I got your email about my post, thanks SO very much for answering my questions/concerns. I was VERY impressed because that doesn't happen with ANY other website I have ever seen, that a webmaster is good enough to answer someones questions so directly and quicky. So, thanks again!
My pleasure. :)
Just for the record, let's clear up what the word 'censorship' means. Let's say you have a nude pic you want to post on the internet. And please do, you're cute, I know I'd like to see it. But you run into a few websites that don't allow you to post that nude pic of yourself. Are you being censored? No, you're not. Because there are other sites that will allow you to post that pic. Your freedom of expression hasn't been curtailed, you still have other options. Now, if there isn't a single website in existence that will allow you to post that picture, and a government prevents you from trying to create your own website to post that picture, and every other form of media attempts to prevent you from sharing that picture and your freedom in general is in danger, ie jail time for attempting to disseminate that picture, then yes, you are being censored.
A privately owned website that enforces their own standards and rules is not censorship. Sorry for the diatribe but that's a word that gets bandied about far too often.
Ok,
Maybe I'm not really "up to speed" on the use of the word "censorship"....just what it felt like at the time. I didn't know there was federal regulations with all that stuff at the time, now I do. Maybe it makes me look like a friggin idiot, but I'm kinda dense with all that stuff. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
